week 28: dirt and stuff

There is something strange about Pregnancy... You get these weird cravings! Who really knows where they come from. But I know I crave weird things because I am just weird... That is my theory anyways! Let me tell you a little about this.
Whenever I walk across our impound lot and feel the mud squishing under my shoes, I want to eat it... Whenever I walk across a sandy beach and feel the sand under my feet, I want to eat it... Whenever I wash my hands with the pumice soap here at the office, I want to eat it! I have been saying NO to these weird cravings, but this weekend, I couldn't go any LONGER! so I sat down on the rocky beach in Cambria, CA and crushed rocks so I could taste their powder and chew the grit! WOW! What is wrong with ME? I feel like I am 5 years old again... This really is NOT right. My sister Elizabeth did give me two charcoal tablets the other day and those tasted SOOOOOO GOOD! Another thing that kinda helps with the craving at my tums that I take for this cursed heart burn... Yummy chalk! At least I am not craving something like plastic or carpet... I don't know what I would do about those ones! I guess that till this baby is out of my body or till this craving goes away, I am going to be eating more charcoal and tums!

week 25: Waight Gain!

Well, I went to my doctors appointment last week sometime and was VERY frustraited to find that I have gained an "excessive" amount of weight! I now weigh more then my husband by about 20 pounds! How does this happen! It was funny because everything my midwife brought up to me that might be causing me to gain wait such as; red meat, fried food, cheese, sugar, and nuts I don't eat! UGH! I guess it must just all be baby... NO please NO! LOL I think I have gained so much weight because I have not been exercising very often... I feel good though! and I think I still look good... (I hope)

Well, I am not 26 complete weeks pregnant here is my photo

week 21: Imaging

Well, we had our ultrasound scheduled for January 4! I was sooo excited to go and finally find out what kind of child we were cooking up! I decided to just go to work with Sam in the morning and be at the appointment with my husband at 3:20 PM... Well, the day started off and got SUPER busy! I don't know where all the tows and calls came from, but basically I had to work through lunch and when we finally thought we were going to get out the door for our appointment, 3 people walked into the office wanting various different things! Needless to say, we didn't make it to our appointment on time and I ended up having a cry out in the bathroom! Well, I was able to call them back and we scheduled the appointment for the next day at 11:00 AM! I was happy that we were able to get in so soon! Anyways, that morning I made sure I peed 2 hours before the appointment and then drank a TON of water! By the time my appointment came around, I could barely walk for fear I would PEE my self! When the lady was finally done taking her pictures and I was released to use the bathroom, I was SO happy! After using the washroom, Sam and I went into the room with the technician where she told us we were having a little GIRL! Oh how exciting! I can not believe that I now know what is swimming around inside my tummy! This is going to be fun! Now the real planning starts! We can now decided what color is going in the baby's room and what we are going to name her and all that other good stuff! WOW! I am going to have a daughter!

week 19: Movement

Well, it has been a while... again... since I last recorded my pregnancy in here... I am getting bigger and bigger as of late! I love it that I actually look pregnant and that when a person sees me, they think "awwww, how cute"... instead of "man... Poor girl ate to much for dinner I guess" :-) I am very happy and very comfortable, except for when I twist the wrong way and my round ligaments get pulled and I have that NASTY pain in my side.

Just the other day, I believe it was Wednesday, I felt the baby move for the very first time! It was really neat! just think, I have a little baby in there! It is becoming more and more real as the days go by! I cant believe that I have already made it to my 5th month AAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! only 22 weeks left of this pregnancy! I guess I better figure out what I am having soon so that I can get the nursery started :-)
On Thursday I had another prenatal appointment. I got to meet with a midwife! That was really neat! She was very gentle and kind and was able to answer some of my questions about the birthing center at the Modesto hospital! I believe we are going to have a good experience there! Anyways, I am going to go to bed! ta ta for now! :-)

week 14: heart beat

This months appointment, I got to hear the heart beat of my little baby, which is about the size of my clenched fist!Wow what a feeling that provoked in my heart! I wanted to cry and laugh all at the same time! I now know that my little baby is alive and doing well! In just 3 weeks, I get to call in to the hospital and make my appointment for the ultrasound! That is going to just be amazing! I will finally get to see what gender my little baby is! :-) Well, I am getting bigger! Starting to show more and more! If you didn't know I was pregnant, you would probably think I was just a bit on the fatter side LOL!
This last week, I have been REALLY short of breath and have had a hard time catching a good breath! I guess it is due to the fact that my lungs can't expand like they used to... It is really bothersome especially during the night when it wakes me up! My lower back has continued to bother me! however, we just got a new bed and that seems to help a bit! We shall see how it goes over the next couple nights! Well, that is it from me! See you next time!

week 13: NO Nausea!

WOW! I must say that 13 is a magical number! I hit this week and just like that! BAM nausea was GONE! Life is so much better now! :-) I am still feeling a little sleepy, but I would rather deal with that then feeling sick! Anyways, this morning my sister actually woke me up at 4:00 AM to tell me she was going into labor! I jumped in my car and drove the 2 hours so I could witness it! It was.... SCARY! Man, I think I will keep this baby in always! I do not look forward to giving birth HEHE! I guess though that women have been doing it for thousands of years and I will be fine, it is just really scary to think about! Anyways, I am starting to get bigger these days! My tummy is just starting to show a little baby bump! These next few months will be more enjoyable I think :-) Anyways, I just thought I would share what is going on with me these days! Take care all!

Oh, my sister had a beautiful little Girl! :-)

week 11: pictures and back pain

Well, Sam and I went for our first prenatal appointment... That was pretty scary for me because they did a complete physical exam on me ahhhh NEVER had one of those before! Anyways, after the exam was done, we had a sonogram and I got to see my little blob and its fluttering heart beat! It was VERY sweet! I wanted to cry! It really made us actually start to FEEL like dang, we are actually going to have a baby now! It was very exciting! according to the measurements that my doctor took, we are about 9 weeks and 4 days pregnant so a little behind what I had originally thought however, I am still going by my first due date until the pregnancy gets a little more advanced. Anyways, Sam and I got to go home from the doctor that day with our very own picture of our very own BABY! :-) life is so amazing!
Man, these last two weeks my back has been absolutely KILLING me especially my lower back! I think it is due to my growing boobs... it takes more for me to pull my shoulders back and stand up straight! They have grown a whole bra size! Like that was what I really needed! GRRRR anyways, I am going to go and get a new bra this week! I hear that is supposed to help with back pain... we shall see though! Anyways, my next doctors appointment is on the 8th of November so we will be able to see my progress at that time! anyways, keep on checking back for my next post! and wish me luck with my back :-)
