week 19: Movement

Well, it has been a while... again... since I last recorded my pregnancy in here... I am getting bigger and bigger as of late! I love it that I actually look pregnant and that when a person sees me, they think "awwww, how cute"... instead of "man... Poor girl ate to much for dinner I guess" :-) I am very happy and very comfortable, except for when I twist the wrong way and my round ligaments get pulled and I have that NASTY pain in my side.

Just the other day, I believe it was Wednesday, I felt the baby move for the very first time! It was really neat! just think, I have a little baby in there! It is becoming more and more real as the days go by! I cant believe that I have already made it to my 5th month AAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! only 22 weeks left of this pregnancy! I guess I better figure out what I am having soon so that I can get the nursery started :-)
On Thursday I had another prenatal appointment. I got to meet with a midwife! That was really neat! She was very gentle and kind and was able to answer some of my questions about the birthing center at the Modesto hospital! I believe we are going to have a good experience there! Anyways, I am going to go to bed! ta ta for now! :-)

week 14: heart beat

This months appointment, I got to hear the heart beat of my little baby, which is about the size of my clenched fist!Wow what a feeling that provoked in my heart! I wanted to cry and laugh all at the same time! I now know that my little baby is alive and doing well! In just 3 weeks, I get to call in to the hospital and make my appointment for the ultrasound! That is going to just be amazing! I will finally get to see what gender my little baby is! :-) Well, I am getting bigger! Starting to show more and more! If you didn't know I was pregnant, you would probably think I was just a bit on the fatter side LOL!
This last week, I have been REALLY short of breath and have had a hard time catching a good breath! I guess it is due to the fact that my lungs can't expand like they used to... It is really bothersome especially during the night when it wakes me up! My lower back has continued to bother me! however, we just got a new bed and that seems to help a bit! We shall see how it goes over the next couple nights! Well, that is it from me! See you next time!

week 13: NO Nausea!

WOW! I must say that 13 is a magical number! I hit this week and just like that! BAM nausea was GONE! Life is so much better now! :-) I am still feeling a little sleepy, but I would rather deal with that then feeling sick! Anyways, this morning my sister actually woke me up at 4:00 AM to tell me she was going into labor! I jumped in my car and drove the 2 hours so I could witness it! It was.... SCARY! Man, I think I will keep this baby in always! I do not look forward to giving birth HEHE! I guess though that women have been doing it for thousands of years and I will be fine, it is just really scary to think about! Anyways, I am starting to get bigger these days! My tummy is just starting to show a little baby bump! These next few months will be more enjoyable I think :-) Anyways, I just thought I would share what is going on with me these days! Take care all!

Oh, my sister had a beautiful little Girl! :-)

week 11: pictures and back pain

Well, Sam and I went for our first prenatal appointment... That was pretty scary for me because they did a complete physical exam on me ahhhh NEVER had one of those before! Anyways, after the exam was done, we had a sonogram and I got to see my little blob and its fluttering heart beat! It was VERY sweet! I wanted to cry! It really made us actually start to FEEL like dang, we are actually going to have a baby now! It was very exciting! according to the measurements that my doctor took, we are about 9 weeks and 4 days pregnant so a little behind what I had originally thought however, I am still going by my first due date until the pregnancy gets a little more advanced. Anyways, Sam and I got to go home from the doctor that day with our very own picture of our very own BABY! :-) life is so amazing!
Man, these last two weeks my back has been absolutely KILLING me especially my lower back! I think it is due to my growing boobs... it takes more for me to pull my shoulders back and stand up straight! They have grown a whole bra size! Like that was what I really needed! GRRRR anyways, I am going to go and get a new bra this week! I hear that is supposed to help with back pain... we shall see though! Anyways, my next doctors appointment is on the 8th of November so we will be able to see my progress at that time! anyways, keep on checking back for my next post! and wish me luck with my back :-)

week 7: Sore and sick

So, I sailed right into week 7 last Tuesday! I can't believe I am at this point already... I know I am not that far along, but just think about it... Next week (tuesday) I will be 2 months pregnant! that means only 7 more months to go!!! EKKKK Anyways, this last week I have been growing in a place I didn't really want to grow in! LOL I would have thought that I have more then enough space for breast milk... Apparently NOT! My Breasts have been sOoooo sore due to the fact that they are getting bigger! Not really what I wanted, but to me it is just one more sign that we REALLY are expecting a little baby!
Anyways, this last Wednesday 9/22/10 I went for my orientation class where we learned about genetically transferred diseases and getting screening done... they also took 4 vials of blood and a urine sample! They say this is the first of MANY blood samples I am going to be giving... I guess it wasn't that bad, but I just really DO NOT like having a needle put in my arm LOL! also this week, I have developed what pregnant women call "morning sickness" UGH! I was sooooooo hoping I would get through this pregnancy without having to experience this nasty thing... but today I was sitting with my head over a trash can all morning... I didn't throw up, just really felt like I was... I then started to fall asleep... and for me that wasn't a good thing because I was sitting on a chair that had rollers on it so I went and laid down on the rug and slept for about 3 hours! poor POOR merry! Well, I have made it through the day and I am hoping to wake up tomorrow with NO sick feeling at all! God Bless... see you next week!

Week 6: TIRED!

So, I have gone through week six and all I can say is that I am SOOOO TIRED!!!!! I feel as if I could sleep my whole life away! I don't want to wake up in the morning, I don't want to make breakfast after I wake up! I don't want to go to work, and when I get to work, I don't want to work! LOL! So guess what I do? I take my blanket and pillow and lay down on the rug and take a Nap... For 3 hours or so! Then I wake up and proceed to... Play around on FaceBOOK! what is up? This baby is just sucking the life out of me! I do have to say however that when I do sleep, I have the awesomest DREAMS EVER! The other night I had a dream about being on a train and this train was AWESOME! Doing these little Loop di loops! It was a bit real though so it kinda made me sick in my dream! The cool thing about this train though was that it was powered by my friend Ben's little "terrier" or something... The dog was all black with shaggy hair and brown ears! anyways, whatever kind of dog it was, it powered the train! How strange eh? Anyways, tonight I hope to get some longer then NORMAL sleep and have an even awesomer DREAM!

The Telling!

Later on after we found out about our baby, Sam and I ran over to Walmart and bought two little white onesies. After Walmart, we went to Michael's and bought some fast drying clothing markers and some cute little Chinese takeout boxes. We then hit the road for Fresno we, of course, had to deliver some paper work to Sam's parents! When we got there, the family greeted us warmly and invited us into the kitchen where Sam told them that he had a gift for the whole family and that EVERYONE needed to be there... Well after we gathered everyone together, we let mom and pop open up our little gift! They pulled out the little onesie which said "I Love MY G-PARENTS"! They were so excited for us hugs and kisses went around and we celebrated by eating diner!
After we were done at Sam's parents house, we then went to go meet my parents at the church where I presented my dad with our little "gift". Daddy opened up the box but he didn't have to pull out the onesie to know what it meant! His eyes got all big and he exclaimed "No way! Really??? COOL!" all in one breath! My mom didn't know what was going on so she went to him and pulled out the little onesie and was sooo excited! My family then proceeded to tell all the church family our good news! Later on I called my brothers and told them about our pregnancy! They were all excited for Sam and I but Timothy gave a little different response! His response went something like this "No way! Are you serious? How do you feel?" I then replied by telling him that I was happy. He then Said "COOL! I am soo Happy for you!" I thought it was funny that he wanted to know how I was feeling before he showed his excitement! All in all, it was a fun experience! My sister and I will have our babies about 7 months apart :-) SO COOL!

Our Test!

Well, I had been feeling a little funny these last couple of weeks and I wasn't getting my period so I started getting a little nervous that maybe my husband and I were going to have a baby! I kept on bringing it up to him and he kept on pushing it aside saying that I wasn't pregnant and that I was just making something out of nothing! But after being 2 weeks late, I finally Demanded that we go to the store and get a Home Pregnancy test to see if just Maybe I was carrying a child. After lightening our pocket book by about $20.00 we went home and I took my test! My results showed almost immediately but the packet said to wait for 2 minutes so I left the bathroom and started pacing the hallway... Sam on the other hand was going to wait this baby out and see if maybe... JUST MAYBE that little vertical line would go away! Well, needless to say, after 2 minutes the little "+" sign was still there and we had a confirmed test saying that we were expecting our first baby! This was NOT planned! We have only been married for 3 months and we were planning on waiting for about 5 years before we had our first child but SURPRISE! We will be having one sooner then that! 05-10-2011 is just right around the corner!
